Through our experience on projects such as the A470 (North wales), A30 (Cornwall), A417 (Gloucester) and improvements to the Penmynydd Rd in Langefni, Anglesey we have provided reporting covering the entire suite of arboricultural and ecological surveys, reports and plans. This has included existing vegetation surveys and design to satisfy employer requirements including detailed site-specific engineering solutions where protected trees, habitats and species are located.
As part of wider infrastructure works the road network in the town of Llangefni has been delivered using the multi-disciplinary expertise of Amenity Tree. We originally provided arboricultural support for the outline planning application for a new road network through WOOD PLC having influenced the proposed route of the new infrastructure away from significant arboricultural assets. We have subsequently been retained in the construction phases of development by The Isle of Anglesey County Council to act as ecological and arboricultural consultants and clerk of works including the compiling of Construction Phase Environmental Method Statements. During the two-year build period Amenity carried out precautionary breeding bird surveys, aerial bat roost assessments of over 300 trees, overseeing of tree protection measures and developing bespoke systems to protect tree roots. Following the new road construction Amenity are now working with CAPITA infrastructure to support new residential housing and educational facilities opportunities as a result of the new infrastructure.

I have employed the services of Simon and Amenity Tree on many projects over the last 8 years of varying complexity. They have worked on everything from bird and bat surveys through to providing advice and guidance on bio-diversity issues, and many more services in between. I have found them to be nothing but professional in their performance and, importantly, amicable, friendly and always informative. I recommend their services to any developer out there.

At Casey I have used Amenity for a wide range of services over a number of years, I have always had a professional and quick response from Simon and his team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We employed Amenity Tree to initially conduct Ecology, Habitat, protected species and Tree surveys for our Merseyside Police HQ project in Liverpool. These surveys were conducted on time and in sufficient detail, ensuring the project captured all relevant Breeam credits and the emerging design could respond to any site conditions. Simon and the team have always responded quickly and professionally and we have no hesitation in recommending them.
